Upgrade Question

I like many others got the first version of LR free having bought RSP, can I just purchase the upgrade to Ver 2 or do I have to buy the complete package.

As Winston said, just purchase the up-grade. Everything will work fine.

Make sure (when the screen shows both the LR version 2 and LR version 1.4 serial numbers), you write down both serial numbers in case you need to re-install LR 2 later, and the machine does not already have LR 1.4 installed.

Stu, please post your experiences with LR2. I'm also running on 1 GB and I'm wondering if I should hold off on upgrading from 1.4 until I can replace my computer - probably the end of the year.

When I upgrade Will I shall let you know my experiences, it may be a couple of weeks away yet. The trouble is I have a fully speced G5 at work which makes my PC rather slow, but work gets in the way of processing one's photos!

I have just over a £1''' saved at the moment which should go towards a new PC but a 7'-2'' 2.8 is so tempting.

Willweb, as you can see from my signature I am running a system almost identacle to yours. I just downloaded the trial of LR2 and it runs fine-or at least the same as 1.3 ran for me. One exception though is that I don't keep a catalog. Once I develop a folder of pics I remove the folder from LR. I have other software for my DAM functions.
