Hello All,

I updated yesterday to Lightroom (I think Cloud version?) 7.1.2 and all the presets that I created by hand that I did not download from a separate source are now missing. I am somewhat new to Lightroom so I am sure the files are stored somewhere but I have not been able to find the answer through a Google search.
All the presets that I have purchased or imported as free downloads are still there but not the ones I created.

Sorry if this has already been answered many times before!

Thank you!

Updated from what?
I’m not sure of the exact version, must have been 6…something? The new 7.1.2 layout looks quite a bit different. If there’s a way to look up what my previous version was I can do so.
I have the Adobe Lightroom subscription version and I just updated through that.

Is the subscription new. i.e. did you sign up for that subscription in order to update from your Lightroom 6 something, or were you running that Lightroom 6 something under that subscription plan?

We just need to clarify what you have upgraded from, as there are two possibilities:

1. You have upgraded from the previous version of the same cloud-centric Lightroom 6, though if that was the case the interface would look the same and your presets wouldn't be missing.
2. You have updated from the last perpetual license version of the local-storage version of Lightroom 6, which had its name changed to Lightroom Classic when it was replaced with the subscription version in 2017, and which is now at version 13. Obviously the interface is still very similar to the original Lightroom 6 however.

Both of these versions of "Lightroom" are still active, so it's possible that you have unintentionally taken out the wrong subscription plan, and we're just trying to help you figure it out. Yes, Lightroom 7.1.2 is the "cloud version", is that cloud-storage based version the one that you specifically want to be using?

I figured it out. Dumb "newbie" mistake, I had accidentally switched from Lightroom Classic to Lightroom

It's all sorted out now, thank you everyone for your help and replies!
