Update folder location...

Could someone please explain exactly what this menuitem does, or point me to an explaination of it?

If you have multiple copies of your folder hierarchy (like on a laptop's internal disk and also on some external disk), and you want Lightroom to point to Location B instead of Location A, this is what you use to do that.
