I just noticed that some days ago I applied a develop preset to ALL my (48''+) images, which was ment for one folder only! :frown:

Now most of my images have wrong develop settings and look terrible.. Is there a quick way to undo this change or should I start over again? I don't work with Snapshots or History (yet), is this a way to prevent these troubles in future?

P.S. I think it has already been requested before, but in LR2.' I would realy like to see some sort of lock-function which blocks a user from changing an image (i.e. after you're finished editing it). Can anyone tell has this be requested already?

Eeeeew! Nasty problem!

If you'd realised immediately, undo would have done the trick.

Each of the images will have the previous settings in History automatically... but you'd have to go back through each image and click on the one-from-last history state. It'll take a while for that many images, but it would save you re-processing everything.

I don't suppose you'd written to XMP? Preventative measure for the future - when you finish processing a batch of files, select them in Grid mode and hit Ctrl-S to write to metadata. That way you'd be able to select the files and Metadata menu > Read Metadata from Files to get back to your last known correct point.

Your file locks - put in a feature request - even if it's been requested before, the more requests it gets, the more likely to get done. Official Feature Request/Bug Report Form
