I was deleting images in Lightroom on my desktop. I have about 289 images in there (very new to this). I switched among views (grid, square, etc.). I noticed one view for some Recently Added files didn't show all images in the filmstrip. Now, the desktop shows a count of 289 but no images anywhere. I try to expand Recently Added, and nothing shows up (previously I could view 5-6 dates there). I can click among All Photos, Recently Added, People, and Deleted, but nothing shows anywhere. On People (I don't have any yet), I see a blue circle spinning. I have restarted and performed a hard shut down. Everything looks fine on iPhone and iPad.

After 2+ hours with Adobe support, this is resolved. They removed the Library.lrlibrary file and granted more permissions to the Lr app. Just wondering if the length of time it took to resolve this is typical? Does this sometimes happen with new users - things just aren’t installed quite right? I am having second thoughts on this product/service. Any insight on whether I can expect regular problems would be appreciated.

Hi Sharyn

Welcome to the forums! No, this is unusual. Catalina is very fussy on file permissions, but once set they tend to be transparent. We hope your forward experiences are happier ones!
