I am new to the forum. Also a beginner in relation to Lightroom and unfortunately not very technically savvy.

Thus I need your input please. Just downloaded the slit-tone group of pre-sets from Inside Lightroom Website. The instructions on installation seem simple - however, I am unable to install.

1. instructions are to switch to the Develop Module - click in one of the Presets and select - the Show in finder/Explorer option.

This opens the correct folder - then it goes on to say: Place the unzipped files in this folder.

When in Develop Module my presets folder is greyed out ie is not able to acesss the folder. Is this the reason why "The Show in finder/Explorer option does not come up to place the pre-set files in.

What I have I done wrong?

I have Lightroom 1.2 and a Mac 1'.4.1'

Hi Creativepro.
First we need to know what system you are using i.e. PC or Mac. The way we do this here is in our signature, you can find instructions for this here:
http://www.lightroomqueen.com/community/showthread.php?t=144
Now the first question is, have you unzipped them and placed them in the "user" folder for develop presets? To find that folder if you don't know where it is, simply create a preset and save it using the+sign in the preset pane; then ctrl/click that and you will get and option to show that in finder/explorer which will then show you where the user folder is.
If you have unzipped the downloaded presets, place them in the user preset folder and restart LR and they should be there.
Hope that helps

You may also have to create the Web Galleries Folder first, if you have no user Galleries already.

It would be in the same Directory/folder as Export Actions which you can get to from the Export Dialogue, bottom dropdown.

Also, do fill in you System Configuration info in your Signature by going to User CP above.
