Two questions

I have two things I've been wondering about.
1. In terms of just increasing contrast a little, what is the difference between just using the contrast slider and using the tone curve to just tweak the curve a little. If I use the tone curve I generally will decrease shadows by 8-1' and increase lights by7-9. Just enough to put a little more bend in the curve. Is there an image type where it might be better to use one method over the other.
2. When using the spot healing tool if you miss a little bit or just want to reblend part of it or something, you (I) can't go back into an area that has blend applied and re sample it. In other words blend again something that has already been blended. My explanation of this may not be good, but hopefully someone will understand what I'm trying to say. I know it's not designed to work like PS but I was just wondering if I missed some way of doing that. Thanks all. Ernie

1) the tone curve allows you to choose at what level you adjust the image. Contrast works over a fixed area in the mid tones.

2) delete and re-blend it again

Not having to wipe out all the blending already done was what I was trying to avoid. I guess it just can't be done. I was hoping there was just something I hadn't thought of. Oh well...
