Turning old iPad into a portfolio

Hey.
I have an old (and currently unused) iPad that I'd like to use to keep in my bag with a portfolio on it.
The idea would be to just whip it out and let people swipe left or right through my images.
Does anyone here have any experience of doing this?
Which software would you recommend to create the file.
Any and all thoughts welcome.
Best,
Mike

I can only assume that the Portfolio that you reference is the Adobe Portfolio process https://portfolio.adobe.com/sites.
With Portfolio you can easily create pages by importing content from Adobe Lightroom and Behance. These are then viewable using any device that can open a web browser.

My simple Portfolio is here: https://cletuslee.work/

Hi Cletus.
Nope - I didn't even realise Lr had a portfolio option.
I'll investigate.
I might just load up a load of images into Photos on the ipad - but I was hoping for something a bit slicker.
And I was thinking of having the images "on board" rather than via the interwebs.
Lots to investigate...
Thanks again.

Well, as you're already paying for Lightroom Mobile and cloud syncing, why wouldn't you use that? Every image in my personal catalog is also stored in smart preview form in the LrMobile app on all my iDevices, and that's an ideal way to show off images. Just organise the images that you want to exhibit into collections in LrClassic, then sync those collections to the cloud. Once that upload has been completed, install the Lightroom Mobile app on the iPad and all those collections will be available as albums for you to peruse and display (and edit if you so wish).

The only caveat would be the age of the iPad, ensuring that it can run the required level of iOS/iPadOS (iOS 14.0 or later).

As I do - an old 9.5in with iOS Version 9.5.3 That will not load any Lightroom App! Doesn't even have a sim for WiFi.
My procedure to have photos on the iPad (connected USB to the PC) is-

1) Create a Folder in my PC specifically for photos intended for the iPad {iPad PHOTOS}
2) From Lightroom-Classic : Export selected images to {iPad PHOTOS} as JPGs in a suitable size for your iPad screen size.
3) In iTunes: Click the iPad icon at the top of the iTunes window, then click Photos under Summary on the left.
4) In the right-hand pane, tick the box next to Sync Photos, then in the [Copy photos from:] box, 'Choose Folder' and navigate to the folder you created in step 1, {iPad PHOTOS} then click Select folder.

5) Allow photos to sync, View your images in the iPad Photos App.
Any photos added to the PC {iPad PHOTOS} folder will automatically sync when the iPad is connected through iTunes.
