Trouble on export

I have slowly been learning to use LR, and have encountered a problem and need help. I export RAW files but after the export the images have a pink/light blue glow outline around all over exposed areas. I have no idea what is happening please help

Hi amieds, welcome to the forum!

Could you upload a small image - or a crop of that area - so we can see exactly what you mean please? There's a few possibilities, but it'd save the guesswork.

Ooooh, pretty pattern! I'm guessing it's not quite what you were looking for though.

Initial thought - what settings have you used? Highlight recovery pushed to the max? HSL panel? Something like that?

This was an exported file, I made some adjustments, but then turned them all off to export the file. I will check my settings again, but no the highlight recovery was not adjusted.

This file seems to have been produced (or altered) by Photoshop CS3, not LR. Can you try exporting (without minimizing metadata) again and directly post the image here? (reduce it in size if necessary)

I have reset set everything, and changed to the different camera calibration settings and still have the glowing edges. After doing some playing I have figured out how it happens. As soon as I apply a flag to a photo I get the glowing edges, and it only applies to the images that have been flagged. Any idea as to why this happens?

Lightroom had problems with some Olympus long ago but we tought it has been fixed! Seem the "Pirate Flag" is back. :icon_neutral:

I was looking for development or IPTC metadata, none of which is present in the photo.

You'd make sure you don't have 'minimize embedded metadata' checked in the export dialog, and you don't do a Save for Web in Photoshop. There's a great little tool for checking which data is embedded in a file: http://regex.info/exif.cgi
