I bought an iPhone X and now Lightroom will not import my photos. The photos are labelled LPreview not Available” and when I try to import it says the file is bad or not supported. I updated LR to the latest version which is supposed to support iPhone X.

I did a quick search and there were comments that LR does not support the HEIC format that Apple uses in ios11.

Anyone else having the same problem or knows what is going on?

If you have LRCC on your phone you can upload your phone photos to LRCC and then either keep them there and work on them in LR Classic or do what I do which is to download them from LRCC on my desktop to my hard drive (into my phone photo folder) and then import into LR Classic.

Thank you, I will try that. It does seem like I should be able to import directly though.
