I really don't want to mess with all the technical searching of files and folders. I want to be able to choose the images I've worked on and move them to another computer or hard drive so I can continue to work on them. Then I want to transport them back to the original machine, along with any changes I've made.
It would be very nice, in addition to "export," to have a "transport" option which would automatically move selected collections or files or images onto an external HD or laptop. As it is, unless I'm missing something (and I do sometimes, I'm new to LR), when I want to take my files with me on my laptop or load them onto an external HD to use them on another LR-installed desktop machine, I have to manually find each folder (lrcat, lrdb, dng files) and copy them to the laptop or External HD, then link them again when I open LR on the new computer.
