Transition from Windows to MAC

Just bought a Mac, so obviously I am very excited, but realised that I have already used 2 instances of LR; one on my PC here in NZ and one on a computer with friends in Holland, where we stayed for a while last year.So I would like to know if Adobe can get rid of the copy in Holland as I haven't got access to that machine and my friends wouldn't have a glue what to do or I de-install the one on my PC and then hopefully be allowed to install a version on the Mac; this is probably the easier option, however I can't find a de-install facility anywhere.Appreciate the helpRegardsRobert

As far as I know you don't activate your LR copy with Adobe in the same way as you do with e.g. PS. I would ask your friends in Holland to de-install the LR copy and just install a copy on your Mac. You can use the same serial number for both the Windows and Mac installations.

Thanks Kees,But that is the problem; they wouldn't know how to do it; to be honest, neither do I here on my PC.I looked for a de-install exe but couldn't find onePlease advise where to find it, as I really only want the one copy on my Mac as the PC is going to be dumpedRegards

As Kees said, there's no activation on LR, so it's done on an honour system.

If you want to uninstall it from your computer, you'd find the uninstaller in Add/Remove programs. If you want to log in to your friend's computer (with their permission obviously) to uninstall it from there computer, I've found the free Adobe Connect Now http://www.adobe.com/acom/connectnow/ to be very useful.

Thanks Victoria,So I should be able to load LR on my Mac without de-installing the other copies (which won't be used at all anymore), is that correct?Well I tried that and after it has done about 8'% of the install (from disk version LR2) I get the following message:"The installation failed - The installer encountered an error that caused the installation to fail. Contact the software manufacturer for assistance"
I thought the reason for the error was that I was only allowed two copies and that this was checked during the install, but perhaps something else is wrong then.I do have a proper license, just in case you wonder.Appreciate your help again

Ah! Skip the disk - the installer on the cd is not compatible with SL. Download the 2.6 update direct from Adobe and just enter your serial into that and you'll be all set.
