Light Room offers the ability in the module to set a resolution for the print output. I have read conflicting opinions concerning re-sampling for print output. One side says don't-as long as the final sized resolution is in the range of say 18'-48', leave things at the native resolution and let LR resize without resampling and sharpen for the print size. The other says resample to 36' (for Epson). Example: An image that comes into the Print module with Print resolution unchecked @ 48'ppi, I change the size or margins and it stays at 48'ppi, so I print it. Why would I check the Print resolution and make a change? Can someone please shed some light on this for me?
