It's a well known and heavily discussed issue Giovanni, as you well know. In fact, all of the Canon cameras have the same kind of shift, particularly in the reds.

ACR/LR are weighted towards giving pleasing skin tones rather than absolute accuracy of colour, as that is what the majority of people are looking for.

Adobe are well aware of the concerns on this issue, so we'll wait and see what happens in the future.

Saturation: 28

Green Primary:
Hue: -27
Saturation: -21

Blue Primary:
Hue: -3
Saturation: 2

this should work better then the standard acr

but i did not notice with 5D and 1dmark3
only with the 35'D
by the way the camera raw profile should work better then acr

It's all down to personal taste - as with most photography - and the kind of pictures you're taking. Glad to hear you've found some settings that you like for your 35'd.

only with the 35'D

I'm not sure about the 5D and 1DIII but the 35'D (and 4''D) have a filter to block infrared. I think this causes the colour shift. Canon's software and some others correct for it but ACR, as Don said, is geared towards better skin tones so you get orange fire engines.
