I am doing some long overdue housekeeping in LR5 prior to updating to LR14
Foolishly, some time ago I moved some photos in Explorer rather than in Lightroom so i am having to restore the links. I am having two problems:
The first is that when correctly associating a file to its new location LR automatically associates files in the same folder - but only to a limited extent. The number of files relinked varies but is never more than around 50. It's not a huge problem since I simply re-link the next missing photo which fixes th enext batch but it is time consuming. Any thoughts?
The second is agreater problem. Occasionally I get the message that the file is associated with another photo. In some cases it is associated with filename.CR2 instead of filename.DNG. Is there any way that I can break the association with the CR2 and then relink the file to the DNG? And can I do that on multiple files?
Many thanks for any thoughts

First problem: The folder panel will show missing folders. Instead of relinking individual files, relink the missing folder. Starting with the topmost level missing folder will relink all sub folders and the file they contain.
Second problem: You have imported the same image twice. Once as a Cr2 file and again as a converted DNG. You can only decide which one to keep and delete the other.
