I use a text editor to edit my keywords. I can keep them in managable sets and modify/import as needed. I can add new keywords and import the same text file and any existing keywords are not modified EXCEPT for synonyms.
Example:
I created a small keyword hierarchy in a new LR database and exported it:
TopTag1
SecondLevel1
{Synonym1}
{synonym2}
TopTag2
SecondLevel2
If I re-import it, "TopTag1, SecondLevel1, TopTag2, SecondLevel2" are effectively ignored as duplicate. If I go edit SecondLevel1 keyword, the synonyms are "Synonym1, synonym2, Synonym1, synonym2". Every time the file is imported it will duplicate all the synonyms in the database.
I don't know if this qualifies as a bug but it seems incorrect, or at least inconsistent.
