Following a recent trip to Sri Lanka, I've just synced almost 3,500 photos to Lightroom Classic on my desktop from my iPad. Everything worked fine except on my iPad the photos are conveniently segmented by "Days". On my desktop they are all in one big Collection. In future, is there any way to have them sync into sub-collections by day/date?

Incidentally, it took almost 48 hours for the photos to sync up to the cloud and back down to my desktop. I found that it got stuck with 692 photos "pending". On examination, I found that this was the same number as the images in the deleted folder. I cleared the deleted items and this cleared the pending items. I don't know why Lightroom would consider the deleted items to be pending.

In Lightroom Classic preferences, you can specify the folder structure to use when your images sync fro the cloud. There are several date named folder structure options.

Originally LR sync’d to one mobile folder. This was improved to be more flexible several versions back but Adobe kept the default in place and you needed to modify it in preferences
