Is there anyway to stop LR from jumping up several folders after synchronizing a folder. Very irritating.

Can you explain what you mean a little more please? When you sync, if thee are photos to Import then it will automatically go to Previous Import in the Catalog Panel - is that what you mean?

I presume. LR jumps up 6 or so folders after you synchronizing instead of staying on the same folder that you synced.
Strange. I'm in the process of scanning lots of scans. Each time that I finish a batch of 12 scans, I save these in a folder and then synchronize the folder in Lightroom. So just by coincidence I have done lots of synchronize folder actions the last few days and I do not see any 'jump'. Same version of Lightroom, same version of MacOS.

It really does depend on the Preference setting on the General tab (Select the "Current/Previous Import" collection during import). I normally have that checked, so when I synchronize a folder (I'm also speding time scanning old photos, so also doing a lot of folder syncs) the selected source switches automatically from the folder up to the Previous Import collection in the Catalog panel. Which is what I would expect. With the option unchecked, the selected folder remains selected after the synchronization.
