Sync problem from iPad app to Cloud

I have been using the Lightroom cloud-based system for a year or so now and the syncing between devices has always worked well. However, I'm now having a problem where changes I make on the iPad app are not being synced to the cloud (checked by logging in to Lightroom in my browser). Changes I make in the desktop app (and on my iPhone) are syncing down to my iPad, via the cloud. Advice on solutions would be greatly appreciated!
 
If you click on the cloud icon in the iPad app, does it show anything needing to sync up? If everything's safely in the cloud, sometimes the easiest solution is just to delete the app and download it again.
 
If I click on the cloud icon in the iPad app, it says "synced and backed up", but the changes have not actually been saved to the cloud. So, if I delete the app those changes will be lost? I have tried logging out and in again in the app, but that didn't change anything.
Any edits I make in Lightroom in my web browser or on other devices do push down to the iPad, just not the other way around.
