Has anyone tried using Lightroom in conjunction with Dropbox? Does this work to keep a catalog file in sync between two computers? Are there any caveats? Any other tips, suggestions, or warnings?

Well... There is no "Save" button in Lightroom and they state thet the sync will occur whenever you save a new version. But as Lightroom is constantly reading writing, I would first try with a test (or better yet a copy of your good one) catalog performing heavy read/write operations on it and watch the dataflow on your internet connection etc.
I absolutely love dropbox, but I'd hesitate to try a LR catalog on it, to be absolutely honest. The catalog's not as robust in normal situations, and I'd be concerned about introducing corruption, so if you do try it, do regular catalog backups.
