hi all.
ive moved my library over to a new Mac and now Lightroom has started syncing the new images, now doubling the amount of photos synced to the creative cloud.
I wanted to erase the sync data in preferences but I was worried id loose some edits/profiles/metadata.
can anyone please explain how to reset this so im just syncing the amount of photos in my library?

From this post and the other you have written, I fear you have created a new catalog rather than moving the existing one. Can you explain how you moved the catalog from the old machine to the new one?

Lightroom probably looked at the moved catalog as a new synced catalog, so your images got synced again and the cloud images were downloaded. It shouldn't be too hard to find the downloaded images. Delete them from the catalog and they'll be deleted online as well.

I copied the catalog over to the new Mac and opened lightroom with that catalog.
I still have the original catalog on the old Mac which I haven’t touched.
I’ve also deleted the 42,000 that were in my CC for some reason.
I haven’t turned sync on either so nothing in on CC at all. It’s like new.
Should I try moving the original catalog over again?
