Switching from Mac to Windows

Hello:

I've been using the Mac version of LR 1.3 but will soon be buying a laptop with windows. Will the program I bought for the Mac load on a windows machine? I'm certain I read something about 'universal application' regarding the mac software. I'd like to load 1.3 on the laptop then upgrade to the most recent version of LR. Any help would be appreciated. Thank You.

First upgrade to Lightroom 1.4.1 for free and download both the Mac and Windows versions. Your same serial number is valid for both your Mac Desktop and your Windows laptop. When you will upgrade to Lightroom 2.3, you will just be asked for your Lightroom 1.x serial number in addition to the new 2.x one.
