I freaked out today when after just completing literally weeks worth of work, importing over 35,''' of my personal images, that LR was crashing.

I was able to replicate the crash. LR only crashed when I either scrolled by the suspected corrupt image/images. I tried scrolling by in grid, looking in the specific folder, etc.

Anytime the image/images became visible on my screen LR crashed.

I went to the mac version of explorer (new to mac too), and luckily found the image, and removed the whole file via LR.

Since removing the image/images, I have not been able to crash lightroom, which is a good thing.

Anyone else experiencing this problem? Anything else I should be doing?

Sounds a bit strange. Have you tried the opening the file with any other application to see if you can? Preview should be able to do that or Photoshop if you have that.

Welcome, I haven't heard of that issue but it wouldn't surprise me.
To help us help you could you please take a moment to fill in your signature in the "userCP' that is found at the top left of the page - thanks.
Back up your catalogs regularly and your files.

Most importantly - Enjoy !!

Thank you, glad to be here. Posted another issue in adobe forums and I think I found out this issue.

In the original folders I imported, I did not take the time to look in the folder, but rather used Lr's preview in import to look at everything.

I had some html files in some folders, with very weird dimensions, like 1 px by 8'' px, and that Lr tried to import.

I fed Lr garbage in the import and it tried doing something with them, seems all better now,

Hi allergyking, welcome to the forum!

Yes, I've seen that same problem on my own machine, with odd images that weren't corrupted enough to be picked up on import, or that corrupted after being imported into LR.
