Survey View 1:1 preview magnifier.

Bringing up the late RSP, its magnifier was great. While i like all ways LR does what it does, i can see a use for this style of magnifier in Survey view.

I would like to be able to view all (say i choose 5) images in survey view at 1:1.

When i have a series of similar shots, i often hunt for sharpness. I would like to be able to see the exact same part of all 5 images at 1:1 (an eyelid), by placing a pointer/magnifying glass over one aspect of the image and have LR point to the exact same spot (obviously restricted to portrait vs landscape view) and magnify all 5 1:1 eyelids.

I believe this is the functionality for which Compare (C) in Grid Mode was designed. While it is true you can't compare more than two images at once, it does allow you to view at 1''%.

The beauty is it allows you to sort out which image is the best by allow you to keep a select and cycle through a series of candidates for replacement. Then it allows you to move the better image to the select position. For now, it is probably your best option.

Menu -> Edit -> Preferences -> Interface Tab
at the bottom enable the checkbox "Zoom clicked point to center".
