Support for US-International keyboard layout (not working, bug?)

Hi everyone.

I use the US-International keyboard layout to generate characters with accents, such as those used in German, for example ä, ö, ü.

This normally works in all other applications, but it is not working when entering data into the caption field of images in Lightroom. As a work-around I have to type the characters in notepad, then copy-paste them back to Lightroom.

If anyone is unfamiliar with how the US-International keyboard layout works to produce these characters, please see this wiki entry which explains it very clearly.

Given that this input system should really work in all applications, I'm inclined to think that this is a bug.

So far I've duplicated this one on two different Windows XP systems, running 1.3 and 1.3.1.

The issue you have has been raised elsewhere and is a known bug.
I guess all we can say is that at this time a little patience is in order.
Some are screaming for the fix though.......;)
