It seems one of the most interesting and yet most misunderstood facets of LR is the use of smart collections using various criteria. Learning some of the basic rules of the system (like that keyphrases are NOT searched as phrases, but individual words) and how to make use of the system is a greatly undercommunicated aspect.

There have been a lot of really useful posts lately about creating various types of smart collections. It would be great if someone could gather them together in one post that would show some of the less intuitive criteria sets that people have geniously created

Will see first for possible enhancements in LR3 but it is true that some more can be written. The problem is that there are so many variants that it is hard to find one combination for all...

Meanwhile as the iron is still hot on your side about learning the keyword related exploits. There is a funny one I wrote a while ago: Finding images containing only given keyword(s)

I knew there was an invert selection command in there. I was looking for it recently, but had no luck :icon_frown:

So until LR3 goes through it's growing pains I gotta find a way to collect all these great criteria myself...
