suddenly, in Develop, my images are stretched

I'm running LR2.6 on a Vista Home Premium SP1 PC.
I've been using LR heavily for quite some time.
Today, when I was in the Develop module, suddenly, every portrait image is displaying stretched (and distorted). Landscape images show no distortion.
I've closed and reopened LR. And there was no change.
I will reboot next, but wanted to post this asap to see if anyone knows what the problem is.
BTW, I had been working mostly with cropping and rotating in Develop prior to this happening.

Raws or JPGs?
Any other software touched the images prior to Lr?
When you say rotating, do you mean an orientation change, or the angle/level tool in Crop?

RAW - .NEF specifically
Nothing else touched it.
and, I was using the angle/level tool in Crop

I'm guessing that you had AutoSync enabled, and rotated everything. Or you synced the rotation. What does the Develop history show for those images?

History is blank. This is only happening with images that are taller than wide - NOT landscape. And, the change is a distortion - it's stretching the image horizontally to fill the display space. If I remove the left and right panels, the stretching is more pronounced.

UPDATE:
I was able to clear the condition. I went into the gallery view in the library module, selected a portrait oriented image, then selected loupe view and it was fine. I then hit D to go into the Develop module, and it was fine. Seems to be working fine now.

Sounds like a bug. Is there a forum for reporting this?
