Stuck on trying to Sync 3,308 images

Hello I wonder if someone can help me please.
I recently opened LR and its trying to sync 3,308 images, I have tried leaving it a good period of time, but it still has not completed the sync.
I have not tried to upload 3,000 images for sure.
I tried to look in the settings, to see if there was anything in there.
In the settings it says there is no sync activity, see below:

If anyone has any ideas, that would be great.

This may help- In your Web Browser - go to- https://lightroom.adobe.com/ which is the Web interface for your Lightroom (Cloud) library.
There you can look for sync Issues-

If you click on one of the photos grey thumbnails you should see an explanation of the issue-

Hi Rob,
Thanks for getting back to me, I am away working at the moment, I will have a good read and try to sort it out when I get back.
I am a bit puzzled thou why it needs to sync so many images, I have not up loaded more than about 70-100.

Do you use Lightroom on any mobile devices? iPhone, iPad, etc. These would all sync images to the Cloud and then attempt to download them when sync is turned 'on' in Lightroom-Classic. I suggest you don't import images to Lr on your desktop until a full understanding of the situation.
It helps if you can supply more detailed information with your replies.

Hi guys, thanks for getting back to me, sorry I have been away working.

Funny, I was going to reply to you today.
Thought I would open LR to check, and then it started to sync and count down, it got to zero, then went up to 50 odd, then went back down.

I have no idea why it wanted to sync 3,000 odd images, I have been using it for a good while now, and its never done that before.

Anyhow, it seems to have sorted its self out now :)

But thank you for taking the time to get back to me.
