LR 5.x
Operating System
  1. Windows 10
1400 Images from DSLR Camera and iPad & iPhones.

5th Oct is appearing before 5th Sept - for example

Is there an Issues with DD/MM/YYYY versus MM/DD/YYYY (US Format).

Thanks for your input and time

Can you provide a screen grab please.

Are you looking at metadata, or filenames or foldernames.

If filenames or foldernames, then you need to use a format such as yyyy/mm/dd, then sort within Lr in ascending or descending seq.

At the bottom of the grid panel is the tool bar. (Toggle it on or of with the "T" shortcut key). It probably says the Sort order is "Added Order" Change that to "Capture Time".

Lightroom will import many images simultaneously from the camera card. Some of these will finish before the others. So, they get added out of sequence.

Your Operating System determines how dates are displayed (DD/MM/YYYY versus MM/DD/YYYY). (Language and Region settings on a Mac) . Are you wanting to rename the image files on import?

Thanks so much, but incredibly when, rather than hit it with a hammer or do Control, Alt, Delete, I decided to give it one more try.

Bingo - all sweets and IN-order.

i don’t think I did anything differently.

thanks again
