Still a date problem in LR 1.4.1

I do a lot of scans ,
so I want to set the date to the date of the event , when it was shot , not when it was scanned
The "edit capture time" does not seem to work correctly
This is an example:
I want to "adjust to a specified time and date" several photos , say with a date now set at March,5; April 5, May 5 (all in 2''8) to April 6 2''8 for the three photos
I select the 3 photos, have the "most selected" be April for instance, click "adjust to a specified time and date" in "Metadata/Edit capture time" , set "corrected time" to '6/'4/2''8, click "Change ALL "
Normally they all 3 should be set to April 6

No , I get : March 6, April 6, May 6 :evil:

In fact LR has added one day to the date of all photos ,as it should do in "shift by set numbers of hours" .But not as "adjust to a specified date and time" should work as I understand it , if my understanding is correct.
I Think this is a bug and it was already here in LR1.3

I have checked this forum and the LR Adobe forum , this bug (as I suppose) does not seem to have been reported , according to my search.

For grandpas , like me , scanning lots of old photos , and wanting to use LR for albums, keywords etc.. , this means I have to change dates one by one , a lot of work!! :x

'Adjust to the specified date & time' isn't very clearly named - it's doesn't set all of the dates/times to exactly the same, but instead adjusts all of the dates/times incrementally, so they keep their offset from the most selected image. It's the way most time shifts work for photographs.

The reason for this is simple - LR is designed for digital photographs, and I can't think of an occasion when you'd want to set all of your photographs to exactly the same date/time - you'd want to shift them all by X amount to correct the clock instead. Scans is the only time you'd want to specify a fixed date/time for everything.

I'm a bit out of the loop with windows software now, but you want to be looking for a program which can edit exif data and set to an 'absolute time' rather than shift time.

My problem is precisely scans (souvenirs!) , they are TIFF form Nikon Coolscan V
And I enjoy a lot working with LR , as a unique program for my new digital photos and the old scanned ones
LR specifies , in "edit capture time" two different types of adjustment
"Shift by set number of hours" (the process you describe for digital travelers)
and a second adjustment
"Adjust to a specifiied date and time" , which is perfect for scans
I do think LR should do two different types of adjustment , and not just one (as I described earlier)
If you think this is a bug , where could it be reported?

Adjust to a specified date and time also works when the time is off by minutes, rather than full hours, so we do still need that, although it could probably do with being renamed.

Absolute time stamps is certainly one for a feature request though http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/mmform/index.cfm?name=wishform
