I have tried using keywords, collections and folders. After selecting the images I want to stack when I go to Photo >Stack all options are grayed out. What am I doing wrong?
Thanks

Make sure you're in a folder which doesn't have subfolders - or if you are, go to Library > Include Photos from SubItems and untick it - stacking doesn't work across multiple folders, or in collections/keywords.

I am sure that must be the problem. Thanks. I'll go check.

Opps, that didn't work. I did uncheck Include Photos from SubItems but all options are still grayed out.

Are you in a single Folder or in All Photographs? Where you in Library?

Don

I was in a the Library in a single folder with only 5 images taken in the same shoot.

Have you tried the simple expedience of restarting Lightroom. Sometimes that is all it takes. Like rebooting Windows once a day. :)

Don

I restarted Lightroom, no help. I then rebooted, stared Lightroom and still the same problem persisits.

The only time I see ALL options greyed out is when I'm not in a Folder. If you are in a folder rather than a in collection, keywords or metadata panes, you should at least see Collapse, Expand and Auto-Stack not greyed out.

What version of Lightroom are you running?

Lightroom 1.3.1. This morning I started Lightroom after the computer was off all night. Everything seems to work fine now. Thanks for your response. Just one of those weird window things, I guess.
