spot remover (healer)

Hi , still hanging on to Version 2.' because it allows me to use the scroll wheel on my mouse to move the slider of each section.
I found that it was removed on later versions. My question today is because of in all versions I am not seeing the circle orientation when using the spot removal. I click on it and get the circle tool to remove spots , but when I press a pimple , I should get a reference point with a line attached (if you know what I mean) , I don't see this in the software in any version now ... How can I set this right ,

Press 'H' (for Hide) to toggle the visiblity of the tool. This works for several others of the tools as well.
