Sort by image resolution

Hi guys,

Is it possible to sort out by Image resolution in Lightroom 1.3?

Could't fine this option.

If you are shooting raw (the main purpose for LR's existence) there is no innate resolution to a raw file, until you export it as a pixel file (Tiff, Jpeg or PSD).

So no there is no way to sort by resolution.

Yeah, but LR handles other types of files besides raw files. Yesterday I was trying to figure this out myself. It seems like a pretty basic sorting option for a digital photo management app.

What do you mean NO RESOLUTION of the raw files. What about resolution of the senosor.
second, what if I work on my files, then I crop them and want to sort by crop size (resolution or dimensions)
And everething in RAW.
Still waiting for Lightroom 2.'

Then maybe a sort by Pixel dimension? Not there either. Sort by Aspect ratio is there.

There are a few other sort orders I'd like to see in a future version too, such as sort by camera. Definitely put in a feature request! http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/mmform/index.cfm?name=wishform

Workaround for the moment - you could rename with dimensions at the beginning of the filename, as that Dimensions or Cropped are available in the rename. Not ideal though, I know!

Actualy you can sort by camera type. Ofcourse it's not a sorting option. It's in a metadata browser.

Aspect ration is aspect ration, but it will not help with sorting by resolution.
