I guess somehow I have managed to change some seemingly little setting (there must be a thousand) and things are not as I had them. My "normal" procedure is to edit the raw shots and then export them as jpg to the original folder. I check the box to add back to catalog, and uncheck stack with original.
Sidenote-I say normal because in addition to this workflow for current shots taken now, as time permits, I am adding all my older stuff to the LR catalog and keywording it. I'm trying to re-do my file structure as I import it by using the "move and add to catalog" choice. And I am setting it all up with a year>quarter>folder name/date system.
Now, back to current workflow. After the newly created jpgs are back into the catalog the jpg and cr2 files were right next to each other. This is how I want it. NOW, for some ungodly reason, all the jpgs are in the front half of the folder and the cr2s are in the back half. How do I get this back the way it was and prevent it from happening again?
ALSO. I thought that when I keyworded the files before I exported them that those keywords would be applied to the newly created files as they were imported right back into LR. I'd have sworn that it was doing this. I just did a batch of 3'' files with many different keywords and the jpgs have no keywords applied. RATS!!! And they're all at the front of the folder. Is there an easy way to apply those keywords without having to manually do each image?
I truely love LR but there are SO many settings and boxes that one has to be a guru to keep up with them all-or just do one thing and never vary from that.
Thanks, Ernie
