i have some request

maybe could be useful, helpful

1) render the thumbs (not on the fly ) i would like that lightroom could render the thumbs like Iview or Acdsee pro 2 "they are blazing fast "

2)A customize metadata browser , add for example metering ,comps bias , and other exif data

3) export files with a customize folder
like the rename feature that i can edit the name using metadata
like export files or move to --> H:\photo\%year%\%mounth%\%camera%\ ...

thanks
have a nice day

I've submitted feature requests in the past for your #2 and #3. I'd suggest you do as well -- the more of us saying the same thing, the more likely it is to happen.

#1 is the more important
the library with many pics is unusable, unemployable at last on the black side (pc)

Is it slow for you on importing photos or when switching between folders or collections? My PC is a similar specification to yours and renders thumbnails fairly quickly. The only time I find it slow is when I accidentally choose "All Photographs".

to me it's slow if i have all photographs selected just like 8''' files , it's slow to scroll because lightroom render the thumbs on the fly

with 5'' photos selected it's fast , but i'm talking about 1.2 , i don't use 1.3

by the way iview , acdsee pro 2 is amazing fast with 8''' files tooo

I definitely suggest you upgrade. I find 1.3 is much faster at rendering the previews on screen.

I never use "All Photographs" unless I am using the Find filters. Even with 4''' photos I do not find it very useful. It is different if you split your photos into different catalogs for different events but I like everything in one place.

Giovanni's had all sort of problems with 1.3 Mick, and says it's actually slower on his machine.

Sorry, I forgot that one :(

outside 1.3 doesn't run great to me

i didn't find a library in the 1.3 version better then 1.2

Try 1.3.1 now. See LR Announcement Forum.
