Please see the attached screenshot. For some reason, even though the pictures are imported into lightroom, it wont' export some of them. There are roughly 9,000 images. It will export about 7500 images. I've never had this issue before. I can look in the folder in which the originals are stored and they are *right there*!

Open to suggestions! I've tried numerous times, but I always get the same message.

It could be that Windows has assigned a different drive letter to the volume where these images are stored. If that happened, then reassigning the drive letter to the volume designated at the time they were imported will solve your problem

I"m not exactly sure why the issue appeared. I had 3 days of pictures, with approx the same number of files on each day. Friday and Saturday exported flawlessly.

I finally got Sunday to work. I deleted the raw files from LR, re-imported and then exported. In other words, I did the exact same thing I'd done before, only it worked this time. :)

Your screenshot shows missing images in the background.
Do the exclamation marks in the upper right corners indicate missing images? I've used LR a lot, but I really don't know it very well. I primarily use it to run noise reduction on my raw images. Once I get out of that, that's the limit of my knowledge.

To "reconnect" the images, I do...what exactly?

Yes, the exclamation marks indicate missing images. Usually missing images means that one or more folders are missing, so the easiest and best way to deal with that is to do it at the folder level. That is pretty simple, as long as you know the current location of the folder. You right-click on the missing folder, choose 'Find Missing Folder' in the contextual menu and then navigate to the current location of that folder in the dialog that comes up. Select it and you're done. The folder and all its subfolders are reconnected.
