I recently upgraded to LR2. But I have problem if I try to snyc button in develop or library module then normal synchronizing screen is not appears to choose what to select to synchronize. And I could not do anything unless hit esc or enter key on XP.

is any body has same problem?

Thanks,

Can

Can, Welcome to LR Forums. Are you saying that 'Synchronize Settings' dialog box is not appearing? See attached image.

Does this continue to happen always? Restart Lightroom? Reboot computer?

Nothing has changed even restarting LR or rebooting XP. I shut down my PC and restart again then I have started LR2.

I have also LR 1.3 installed on the same PC and with LR 1.3 it works.

It looks like panel is opening but I couldn't see it. I have tried minimize LR2, reduce the window and alt+tab but I haven't see the synchronize setting dialog box.

Sync Metadata button is working to open its panel.

What steps have you taken? Restarting LR and rebooting don't help?

Hmmm. Have you ever used multiple monitors? I remember somebody having a problem with a dialog coming up on the second monitor of a laptop (but it was unplugged, and they could'nt see it.)

Probably not, since you say Alt-tab doesn't find it, but there have been some reports that Alt-tab is wacky with LR2 also.

I wonder if the ctrl-alt-delete to bring up the task manager would show anything?

Have your tried the standard troubleshooting steps here:

Indeed I use laptop with external monitor connected. I tried with laptop only but no change.

But troubleshooting
line 4. Delete the Preferences file.

has solved the problem.

Thank you very much.

Now I can sleep well. (close to midnight here)
