Some times I adjust say 15' photos from colour to black and white and i want to create a snap shot for each photo named "B&W". Currently I have to do this one by one :cheesy:. It would be very useful to be able to create a snap shot named "B&W" for every selceted photo with one click. It would also be useful to have a snapshot management tool with a table showing for currently selected photos what snap shots exist for each photo. By a series of checking or unchecking boxes you could delete unwanted snapshots very easily rather than having to go through one by one.

Virtual Copies.... Ctrl/Cmd ', then V

Yes, John means use VCs instead of snapshots. You can create the multiple VCs in one step. In addition, at the right hand edge of the Attribute Filter Bar at top of Library, you can filter on VCs or Master Copies.

The possible downside, is that if you're using XMP sidecars, or embedded in DNGs for data exchange, etc., VCs are not saved in that data. Until they're exported, (and thus made real), VCs exist only in the LR database.

One of your issues was doing things one by one, so let's think of a 36' frame wedding shoot and you want black and whites of them all. Using Snapshots would turn you old and grey, but VC's are quick and easy. Just adding a little to what I hinted at before, I'd select them, then hit Ctrl/Cmd N, tick Include Selected, and tick Make Virtual Copies. So my VCs are all nicely grouped together in a collection. I just hit V and they're all in the default b&w treatment. Whether it's 1' or hundreds, this VC-based method is a lot more flexible than Snapshots (which are Photoshop-style Oldthink IMHO).

At some point I'm sure it will be, probably as part of merging the VC and Snapshot concepts.
