I just ran a fairly large web gallery and after looking at it a bit I decided that I want to change the format to make it more horizontal. I decided to add another column and remove one row.

When I re-uploaded the gallery using the one click ftp function in Lightroom, even though only the html changed, it went through the full uploading again, including all of the images...

Not a really big deal, however I use JAlbum on some sites and it has a "Smart Upload" feature that only replaces the necessary files... which can save quite a bit of time with large galleries with big files...

This would be nice, and I believe it has been requested other places as well. I, for one, do not use Lightroom to upload anything to a web server, however. Just too limited at the moment.

The inbuilt FTP is pretty limited - but it's meant as a useful add-on rather than a full FTP program. If you're FTP'ing a lot, there's some decent open-source FTP software which is better suited. Cyberduck and FileZilla spring to mind.
