Smart Collections in Other Modules

PS It appears you can't, when in the Web Module, switch to the Smart Folders on the left hand side until you have viewed them first in Library. I just get a message saying 'Loading' which never goes away. I guess that's a subject for another thread though...

That's an interesting thought Jonathan. But how could you set up a smart collection without viewing it first in Library? If you can, I'd call that a bug too.

Well LR2 came pre-loaded with 5 smart collections: Colored Red, Five Stars, Past Month, Recently Modified, Without Keywords. I hadn't even clicked on them to look inside as I my attention was focused on problems elsewhere. Once I got the web module working I was playing around in there and clicked on the Colored Red smart collection which is when I got the indefinite "loading..." message. I returned to Library module, clicked on the smart collection to bring up the images in grid view, then returned back to the Web Module where they all displayed just fine. But you're right I can't find a way to create a new smart gallery without viewing it first in Library so presumably this only relates to those preinstalled collections unless it also affects third party collections I've seen advertised. Maybe a bug but on the scale of things a pretty tiny one!
