A recent set of images I recently uploaded takes a long time to go from blurry to a resolved sharp image whenever I open LR in grid view. I waited 4 minutes for a full image to resolve. I uploaded in standard format. Not clear what has happened. Any ideas?

There are infrequent but recurring reports of similar behavior over the years. LR has heuristics for the order in which it generates previews and how much processor utilization it devotes to it, and sometimes this seems to go awry. Often rebooting your machine fixes the issue.

If you see it happen again, try selecting one of the blurry thumbnails -- does it very quickly get sharp? If you view it in Loupe (type e), does it get sharp quickly?
