Hi,

I'm dipping my toe in the water of wedding photography, and would like to be able to provide a DVD to the client containing a slideshow set to music. I would also like to have the jpegs for the images on the DVD so the client can make their own prints.

I have seen various people mention SlideShowPro for Lightroom - would that allow me to make slideshows and export them to DVD? Could I also have the jpegs on the same DVD?

Thanks

Neil

I use the Photodex Lightroom Plugin to export my images to ProShow Gold and like the results. The export plugin allows for things like motion and zooming. In PSG I add the music and create a DVD menu, etc.

Another vote for ProShow. While it does offer a Lr plug-in, I don't often use that feature. Nothing against Slide Show Pro, I just happened to already own ProShow when I started using Lr.

In either case, the only obstacles to putting the JPGs on the disk, are available space, and creating some sort of organization scheme. Will they fit, and will the client be able to find the correct image?

Thanks for the replies... ProShow Gold looks like it could be the best way...

A couple more questions - in ProShow Gold can you time the slide transition so it fits in with the music or whatever? A lot of the slideshow packages don't seem to offer that option.

Brad - you mention that adding jpegs to the DVD could be problematic because of space and navigation... would you suggest then just putting them on a second disc?

Thanks.

Yes you can. There is an option to sync the music to the slideshow. If the track is longer then the slideshow, Proshow Gold will fade that audio track earlier to fit the slideshow. Pretty clever :D

Proshow Gold now have a plug-in for LR? When? Where? How?:D Didn't know that.

Not necessarily. Was just commenting that you could run out of room. Also, if there're a lot of images, just give some thought to how your client is going to find a specific image. You're used to computers, files/folders, and your particular organization/naming system. Jane and Joe Client may not be so comfortable.

No specific advice, just food for thought ....
