Slideshow Titles and Information

Hi - I work at a university in a computer design area and we have 1' years worth of student work archived (in folders and sub-folders) that I would like to make a slideshow of that will display on a large lcd monitor. I would like to be able to have the slides say the class name - project - perhaps a brief description. I have created a catalog (degree) collection (class) child of collection (projects within that class). Doing the text overlay in slideshow will take too long (we have thousands of pictures).. Is there a way on import of a folder into lightroom I can have it add the text for each that will show up automatically? Also, when I bring all collections into the slideshow it puts them alphabetically combining all together - can I make each collection show one after another? Thanks, sorry for the lengthy message!

Hi Lori, welcome to the forum!

Sorry your thread got missed!

If I'm understanding you correctly, the Captions field would be the best place to end the class name and project, which could be made to display automatically on the slideshow.

To play one collection after another, I'd just create another collection called 'slideshow', set it to user order, and drag/drop the photos from each of the collections into it. That said, do you do one class at a time? If so, sorting by Capture Time may be enough for you.
