Slideshow problem

Am a new LR2 user. When I use slideshow some pictures are duplicated in 'play' but not in 'preview'. Any ideas how to fix?

Hi Arthur, welcome to the forum!

Can you explain a little further about what you're seeing? Are they duplicated in the filmstrip? Or just showing for a long time during the slideshow, or...?

And if you could tell us a little more about your machine spec (i.e. Mac or PC etc), that would help us to give specific advise. Most put those details in their signature (see User CP on the menubar above) to save repeating themselves.

I am using a MAC. The pictures are fine in the strip. It's when I 'play' the slideshow. It will go along just fine for a number of shots. Then all of a sudden it will show a picture from 5 back and will do it again a few pictures later. If I do the slideshow in 'preview' form it's OK. I'm stumped. I had a number of shots flagged and thought this was causing the problem. I unflagged them but it didn't help.

That's a weird one Arthur! Ok, just try something - select all in Grid view and go to Library menu > Previews > Render 1:1 Previews, let it finish, and see if that helps.

Thank you Victoria --- I followed your instructions and it seems to have fixed the problem ---but created another problem in 'slideshow'. I checked off 'soundtrack' but it didn't start automatically. I had to manually start the music in "ITunes' --- but when I stopped the 'slideshow' the music did stop!!!
