Is there a way to skip the "import" dialog, or simulate an "OK" click automatically when a folder is dropped on the LR icon?

I'm trying to manage a steady influx of image folders to a standard location: I want to import them as they come in and have LR render previews. I can't do an auto-watch thing because that only works on images, not on FOLDERS of images, which is unfortunate, and it doesn't seem that LR is scriptable through Automator or Applescript.

If I could bypass the import dialog, I could write a script that would just say "open -a 'Adobe Lightroom' <folder_name>". I can do that, but it always brings up the dialog I have to click "OK" in, and I want this to run unattended overnight.

Any way to do this? TIA.
