Sizing an image for print

Dumb question, but:

I'm starting to do photo-note cards, and would like to do them totally in LR. It appears I can get a reasonable amount of automation going with the Templates. I am making A7/5x7 cards on 7 x 1' paper. Thus the basic image is 5" x 7". If I make a 5 x 7 image in photoshop, and print it on 7 x 1' paper (with score) PS complains that the image is too large for the paper. LR prints it just fine, with no complaints. So - is LR doing a slight 're-size' to make it fit?

I'm printing on a Epson 38'', and the default margin in LR is .13 inches. Should I size the image with margin subtracted? (5" would be 4.87') - or just stay with a 5 x 7 image and let LR sort it out? :|

LR has a bleed functionality that PS doesn't. If your image extends beyond the printable region in PS it will let you know. It will still print the image. LR, on the other hand, just lets the print bleed off so it does not issue the warning.
