Size of DNG Converter 5.2?

I use the stand-alone DNG converter in conjunction with Image Ingester to rename and convert my RAW files to DNG before importing them into LR. I just downloaded 5.2 and the file size, 35MB, is significantly larger than the previous versions of the conveter (6-1'MB). Does anybody know why the new version is so much bigger than 5.1 and prior versions? It also has an installer rather than just coming as a zip file that only needs extracting.

Yep, and there is one or two of those !! I guess the installer would add some mb too.

I do not know how to check if the new version contains profiles, but didn't 5.1 also contain camera profiles? Also, versions 5.1 and older were stand-alone applications that did not require an install to the computer. You just unpacked the zip file and were ready to role.

I believe the profiles were previously were a separate beta distribution. If you watch the DNG Converter 5.2 install process, at least on Windows, you can see the profile *.dcp files being installed.

I did not watch the install that closely, but this seems to make sense. There are so many downloads from so many software companies that it is often hard to remember what is included in each download.

Profiles yes.
Also there is a ton of criticism for Adobe not using installers for some products*, so having one is probably a good thing.

* Camera Raw, for example, has no installer. Guess what the number one issue is with Camera Raw... installed in the wrong place!!!

I am a big fan of portable applications, so I tend to like programs that do not require any installation. And, given the fact that I am dealing with a big installer glitch on my Lenovo Thinkpad's Rescue and Recovery program, my feelings towards installers has not seemed to change much.
