simple solution about folders?

I have folders I use for the images I don't want to use/don't want to batch. In the other version of LIghtroom, they didn't appear in Library or Develop mode, now they are. They are inside the main folder. I'm pretty sure this is how I did it last time. Is there something different with this version 2?

Edit:
I meant to say that I see the images in the main folder, even though I placed them in the folders underneath. I don't want to see these images in my main folder. Is there a way to adjust this? it seems to work more like Windows now, but before, it seemed like they were totally seperate folders...

Lisa,

Check under the Library menu to see if you have "Include folders from subfolders" checked. That would cause the indication you've described (if I understood correctly).
