silver efex pro speed issues

Hello all and Happy Holidays

Is there any way I can speed up silver efex pro? It is almost unusable for me.

An update

I performed an extensive monitor calibration and adjusted the refresh rate of my monitor slightly lower and this cured the speed issues with this plug in.
