Shutter Speed denominator omission

All of the sudden, LR2.3 is not showing the full shutter speed. All I get is a "1/"; the denominator is gone! I've had this problem on my MacBook laptop for some time, but it just started happening on my MacPro. I KNOW the data is there because, when I open the file in Photoshop CS4 and look in file>file info, the complete shutter speed appears. Anybody else experiencing this,and is there any fix. I've been using LR since it was a beta and did not experience this until a couple of days ago on my MacPro. I haven't changed anything in the machine, software or otherwise. All is up to date . . . . I don't get it! Thanks in advance.

I know you said you haven't changed anything, but is there any chance you played with your TranslatedStrings.txt file for customization purposes? It's possible to make this happen by making a typo in there. If not, never mind.

And check 'use typographic fractions' in preferences too.

Thanks for responding. Nope, I haven't messed with TraslatedStrings.txt. But, when I unchecked "Use Typographical fractions," all became well?! I'd figure checking the box would turn them on and vice versa. I guess the opposite is unintuitively true!!! Yikes! Thanks for solving my mystery!

Bizarre! Well I'm glad it worked. Maybe corrupted preferences, as I'd expected checking it to turn it on too.
